Cork is the bark of the cork oak. Every 9 to 15 years the bole of the cork oak is peeled by hand. This way, the bole is not damaged in any way and new cork starts growing immediately. At least 20% of the bole are not peeled in order to protect the oak from withering.   Due to the elastic surface, cork floor spares hinges and through its enormous durability it suits perfectly for „active˜rooms like kids’ rooms or fitness rooms. A nature floor – and through the noise dampening one can let steam off without disturbing roommates or neighbours.
